Products
The Products module allows you to manage your product/service catalog. Products can be quickly added to invoices and quotations. Access products from the Inventory Management → Products menu in the sidebar.
Creating a Product
To create a new product, click the Add New button:
Product Information:
- Name - Product or service name
- Price - Default selling price
- Unit - Unit of measurement (Piece, Kg, Hour, etc.)
- Tax - Default tax rate applicable to the product
- Description - Product description
- Custom Fields - Additional fields configured by admin
Quick Add Product
While creating invoices or quotations, you can quickly add a new product using the Quick Add button. This allows you to create a product without leaving the form.
Import Products
You can bulk import products from a CSV or Excel file:
- Click the Import button on the Products page
- Download the sample file template
- Fill in product data following the template format
- Upload the completed file
- Review and confirm the import
Product Form Field Controls
Administrators can control which fields are visible on the product add/edit form. Go to the Product Form Fields settings to toggle the visibility of standard fields:
- SKU - Stock Keeping Unit
- Barcode - Product barcode
- Description - Product description
- Unit - Unit of measurement
- Price - Unit/selling price
- MRP - Maximum Retail Price
- Wholesale Price - Wholesale pricing
- Tax - Tax classification
- HSN/SAC - GST harmonized system code
Each field can be individually enabled or disabled using checkboxes. Only enabled fields will appear on the product add/edit form.
Custom Product Fields
You can create unlimited custom fields for products to capture additional information specific to your business needs:
Creating Custom Fields:
- Open the Product Form Fields settings
- Click Add Custom Field
- Enter the field label (e.g., "Color", "Size", "Weight")
- Select the field type:
- Text - Simple text input
- Number - Numeric input
- Date - Date picker
- Textarea - Multi-line text input
- Toggle Show in Product Form to enable the field on product forms
- Toggle Show in Invoice to enable the field as a column in invoice/quotation item tables
Custom fields appear in the product add/edit form and can also be used as columns in invoice and quotation item tables.
Managing Products
From the products list page, you can:
- View - Open product details
- Edit - Modify product information
- Delete - Remove a product
- Search & Filter - Search products by name or filter by category

Setting up your product catalog with proper pricing, units, and tax rates speeds up invoice creation significantly. Use Product Form Field Controls to show only the fields relevant to your business.
