Taxes
The Taxes module allows you to create and manage tax rates that can be applied to your invoices and quotations. Access this from Settings → Taxes.
Creating a Tax
To create a new tax rate:
- Click the Add New button
- Enter tax details:
- Name - Tax name (e.g., GST, VAT, Sales Tax, CGST, SGST)
- Rate - Tax percentage (e.g., 5, 10, 18)
Managing Taxes
From the taxes list page, you can:
- Edit - Modify tax name or rate
- Delete - Remove a tax rate (only if not used in any invoice/quotation)
Multiple Tax Support
The application supports applying multiple taxes to a single product/line item. For example:
- CGST (9%) + SGST (9%) for intra-state sales in India
- VAT (20%) for European businesses
- Sales Tax (varies) for US businesses
TIP
Create all tax rates applicable to your business. These will be available as dropdown options when adding items to invoices and quotations.
