Housekeeping
The Housekeeping module helps you manage room cleaning tasks, assign staff, and track the status of housekeeping operations. It also integrates with the Inventory module to track supplies used during cleaning.
Creating a Housekeeping Task
To create a new housekeeping task:
- Go to Housekeeping from the sidebar
- Click Add Housekeeping
- Fill in the task details
Housekeeping Fields
- Assigned To: Select a staff member to handle the task (with quick add option)
- Floor: Select the floor where the room is located (with quick add option)
- Room: Select the room to be cleaned (filtered by selected floor, with quick add option)
- Task: Description of the housekeeping task (e.g., "Full room cleaning", "Bed linen change", "Deep cleaning")
- Status: Task status tracking
Housekeeping Status
| Status | Description |
|---|---|
| Pending | Task created but not yet started |
| In Progress | Staff member is currently working on the task |
| Completed | Task has been finished |
| Cancelled | Task was cancelled |


Inventory Items Used
When a housekeeping task is marked as Completed, you can record the inventory items used during cleaning:
- A table of available inventory items appears
- Enter the quantity used for each item
- Stock levels are automatically updated in the Inventory module
- Helps track consumption of cleaning supplies, toiletries, etc.
