Inventory Items

The Inventory Items module allows you to manage individual items in your hotel's inventory. Track stock levels, set reorder points, and monitor consumption.

Creating an Inventory Item

To create a new inventory item:

• Go to Inventory Items from the sidebar
• Click Add Item
• Enter the item details

Item Fields

• Name: Item name (e.g., "Bath Towels", "Shampoo Bottles", "Bed Sheets")
• Category: Select an inventory category (with quick add option)
• Unit: Unit of measurement (e.g., "pieces", "liters", "kg", "rolls")
• Current Stock: Current quantity in stock
• Reorder Level: Minimum stock level that triggers a reorder alert
• Description: Additional details about the item

Stock Management

• Stock levels are automatically updated when inventory is used in housekeeping tasks
• Low stock alerts when current stock falls below reorder level
• Track consumption patterns to optimize procurement

TIP

Set appropriate reorder levels for critical items like toiletries and cleaning supplies to avoid stockouts that could affect guest experience.
