Rooms
The Rooms module is the core of your hotel's inventory management. Each room is assigned to a floor and room type, with individual pricing and status tracking.
Creating a Room
To create a new room:
- Go to Rooms from the sidebar
- Click Add Room
- Fill in the room details
Room Fields
- Floor: Select the floor where the room is located (with quick add option)
- Room Type: Select the room type (with quick add option)
- Room Number: The room number is visualized in a grid showing all rooms on the selected floor. Click on a room box to select/assign it.
- Max Occupancy: Maximum number of guests the room can accommodate
- Price: Price per night for this specific room
- Status: Room status - Available, Occupied, Maintenance, or Cleaning
- Description: Optional description or notes about the room
Room Status
Each room can have one of the following statuses:
| Status | Description |
|---|---|
| Available | Room is ready for guest check-in |
| Occupied | Room is currently occupied by a guest |
| Maintenance | Room is under maintenance and unavailable |
| Cleaning | Room is being cleaned and temporarily unavailable |
Room Visualization
When adding or editing a room, a visual grid displays all rooms on the selected floor. This helps you:
- See which room numbers are already assigned
- Select an available room position
- Understand the floor layout at a glance
TIP
Room prices can override the base price set in Room Types. If you want all rooms of a type to have the same price, use the Room Type base price as a reference.
